Kathy comes from a blended family in Houston, TX, where food is the love language. Following the Vietnam War and a harrowing journey, her parents and siblings emigrated to the U.S. in the 1980's. Fresh, healthy and accessible foods nurtured her family in homemade meals that preserved her culture and traditions as a first generation born Asian American. Kathy moved to Austin in 2011 and obtained an Associates Culinary Degree at Austin Community College and a Bachelors in Business Management at Texas State University. With her background in sales, marketing and many things food related, Kathy is passionate about the power of healthy foods and is excited to transition from a corporate career to forwarding Farmshare's mission to grow a better, just and equitable food system for all!  You can catch Kathy in her free time cooking, sharing her garden harvests and hanging out with her family, dogs and friends outdoors.
